Misfire CEL Code Advice please
Maybe just one of those things but, had my CEL light come on coming home from work the other day. It was a sensible drive, at around 70mph the light flashed then stayed on. It done it again just before I got home.
Just checked the codes on the laptop, and it said it was a misfire on cyl 1,3,4 stored codes.
Have done a reset, and codes have gone and light is out. Just wondering what this could mean, obviously I know what a misfire is but what could be causing it, or is it just another one of those bugeye things It has been rather damp around here recently, and the car doesn't get used that much, perhaps thats got something to do with it Plugs are less than 2,000miles old, Tesco 99ron fuel as usual.
Car seems perfectly ok, idle and driving on and off boost. Suppose it's just wait and see if it comes back.
If this continues, could it be a problem with the mapping? Should I be thinking of having the car re-mapped again?
Any ideas?
