Question wrx on 340bhp

Just a quick question.

Is it worth me buying a fuel pressure regulator for 340bhp n td05 16g
I dont want to spend money for the sake of it as its near crimbo.

Is it defo worth buying on of these.

I currently have an uprated fuel pump.

If so what one?

Thank you

Will an fpr help get me higher figures during a remap?
This is a reason I would defo buy one........or security for fuel flow

Have you uprated your injectors? dont bug wrx's run 380's? safe limit would be about 300bhp you wont see 340bhp with those even with a afpr, and the 16g will run out of puff by then too, if you do have the injectors for 340 (atleast 440's) an afpr would increase fuel preasure and stability when being mapped and reduce injector duty at peak load, im using a fuelab one

So the 16g wont see 340?
I thought they could see 340.

Would a 3 port boost soleniod help increase bhp at map?
Cheers mate

With 550's dont worry about an afpr you wont need one you'll only be running them at about 80% duty save your $$$, depends some 16g's do some dont, who's mapping it for you? I would put a 3port boost solonoid on tho

is it worth me selling up my td05 16g in search of a td05 18g?
How much could I get a td05 18g for?

Im thinking I might as well upgrade the next jump rather than prob wanting more power after 6 months.
What do 550c injectors work safe to bp wise?

If I could get near 350 bhp with the td05 16 I would settle.
If something like a vf35 would get me there I would sell up and buy one of them
Is there anything cheapish (similar price to td05 16g) that would get me to 350bhp?

550's are good for well over 400bhp (up to about 440bhp with an afpr), changing the turbo is up to you one of the boys has a 18g on his blob wrx and he got close to 360bhp on powerstations RR.

gearbox may be an issue, 5 speed currently.
Andy f has said that many people are running 360bhp on standard transmission and not had any problems, I would not be belting the car off the line, just when in motion already

Cheers for the comments though

You need the gearbox to run more torque mate.

To give you you an example in my wrx 312bhp 317ibs/ft feel as like its going to rip cogs off the gearbox believe me! You go above 350lbs/ft and you'll will rip your gearbox to shreads.

ah cheers mate.
I might just stick with the original plan of td05 16g
less money, I have all the bits and im sure the jump from 285 will bring a smile to my face anyways.
Suppose its a lot more expense after that bhp point

350 FOR A WRX IS NEW EVERYTHING! Less than that is manageable and will beat 400bhp car anyway.
