Different Turbo's
I am looking for information on different turbo's.
I will have the dilema of choosing a turbo to (of course) increase power on the car.
What turbo would people recommend and what's the difference in power, boost etc and cost
options are
1. VF 34
2. VF 35
3. TD05
If upgrading the turbo do the injectors need to be changed?
Thanks

Go look on Andy F's website. Changing to an overall bigger turbo will almost certainly net you big gains but at the expense of low down drivability.
If your goal is "over 300BHP" then an Andy F TD04 hybrid will likely do the job.

Who quoted you £1100 for a VF35
A VF34 is apparently as good if not better, can be had new from.........
IMI RHF5 VF34 Subaru Impreza STI [VA660060] - £720.00 : AET ENGINEERING - AETTURBOSONLINE
Ive seen VF35`s on here 2nd hand sell for around £300
From what I gather from on here the TD05 18g/20g Turbos are harsher on your gearbox

VF34's are a rollerbearing turbo (low friction), good for 350-360bhp, VF35's are a sleeve bearing turbo, good for 350-360bhp, TD05's come in different guises, you will be looking for a TD05 16G, which also gives you similar power to the above 2.
The VF34 is fitted to only the finest of subaru's single scroll cars (ie the Spec C RA and S202) and is probably the best turbo out of the 3.

I think Ivan has a second hand VF35, worth a phone call.
