First MOT with 4x4 car
Hi
My MOT is due on my 03 STI
Do I need to take it somewhere that has a 4 wheel rolling road to do the brake test?
Any recommendations on the Reading area?
Thanks
Steve

No, they should have a little device that they put in the passenger foot well to measure the braking force. They will just take it round the block and test it. But you're right about not letting them put it on 2wd rollers.

Yup, its called a Tapley Meter (made by a company in Norfolk called Tapley Instruments). Its what was used to test brakes before rollers became common - they've been making them for a hundred years.

just make sure that they dont put it on the normal rollers !
The test advice note will tell them what is the correct way ( i.e Tapley dewburry thingy )
