Who can fit AP's for me
#6
Anyone can fit them......
I got my 'local' garage (read 2 miles away and not a Subaru dealer - charge was about £20-25 per hr inclusive)to do them for £100! (Inc Vat)
it took them a while with the shims but they got there in the end and I was pleased with the results other than I had to have the wheels rebalanced as there was no room for the weights on the inside of the 16 inch wheels!
AP 4 pots, + front and rear braided hoses
Task is simple for pretty much any garage - and you dont need a specialist at all... the choice is yours
I dare steve Lawson will do a good job and is much cheaper than the Subaru dealers out there if you live near Croydon/Gatwick area

...guys...it's actually silly easy to do...the only minor fiddles are the shims (U need to get the disc in the middle of the caliper - not that big a deal), and to bleed the system - if you're 2 it's not an issue either...those suction thingys should be available at the closest Halfords.

MD, the reason you need shims is not because of AP Racing - it's because the standard Subrau brake mounts are not always exactly where they're supposed to be...
Richard.
Edited to add that fitting brakes is not difficult. Any competant workshop should be able to do it. Key points are to make sure the mating surfaces are clean and true and not rusty (wire brush on drill required). Also, if you're filling with fresh fuid and/or fitting new hoses, brakes may need bleeding a couple of times to get all air out.
