wrx sti 3 -v4 differences?
Hi,
I was hoping someone could assist me in finding out the difference between the WRX STI v3 and v4.
What i have found so far, airbag fitted to steering wheel, and different ball bearing turbo charger.
Interior differnent? Any engine components/brakes or exterior parts different?

different turbo,cams,interior,dash.DCCD was only available on Type R and RA models of STi variant normal STi's didnt have it.WRX RA and Type R also didnt have it

ok so everything then.
It also seems the front of the car changed to Version 4, but i have seen cars advertised as v3 with the same face as some v4's and likewise the other way around. Is there a difference between the STI and the WRX grill/lights wise? I much prever the grill without the middle bar and clearer lights.
Sorry if these are simply questions. Just trying to learn everything possible.

V3 and V4 had the same bonnets,bumpers and grille the grill with the middle bar was on STi 1 & 2 which also had a different bonnet but same bumper.The headlights were different aswell on the V1 and 2 being more rounded at the end that meets the grille as opposed to the later ones which were more angular

the grill on the V3 V4 is facelift but flat,, looks pony tbh hence i changed mine
V3 has the earlier dash, think the cams and heads are better in v3 too aswell as the box but thats what i heard so dont quote me on that
i LOVE my V3 sti,, if your local to london then your more than welcome to take it for a blast,,, ive driven a few scoobies and tbh none of em apart from modded ones would have made me buy a scoobie,,,,,, but the one i own DID,, hence i own it

Is it possible to identify the diference in version based on the VIN?
It seems some people are advertising the cars wrongly or have them modified to look like what they are not. Just wondering if there is a sure fire way to tell the difference from a number.

interior of a v3 should have red corners on the front seats, the v1 v2 dont and it should have a earlier dash, ariel on the rear quarter and rear wash wipe i think

Excellent stuff.
I guess ill have to look for the different spoilers.
Also. I have seen a couple of cars with a slight bodykit, did subaru offer a bodykit which included. Front splitter, sideskirts, and extras on the corners of the rear bumpers?

if your looking for a v3 sti look here at mine, guarantee u wont find a better one. Subaru : immaculate v3 sti only 43000mls
