hi there
just had a price for having the rears done on my 53 plate sti. what tint should i go for?? any pics any one?? they priced it at £110 for the rears i belive it is ilegal to get fronts done??

I went for limo tints on the rear window and rear doors and although it looks really good from outside its a nightmare reversing in the dark and checking your rear view mirror

the front two passenger windows and the windscreen are already tinted mainly for UV purposes so it is illegal to tint them anymore!!
but all the rear windows you can tint as dark as you want.
imo if your not tinting the front ones then dont go too dark on the back as the contrast will look odd instead of gradually getting darker, on all my cars i had tinted i have light smoke on the front two and dark smoke on the rears!

im not sure about just the rear and not the front tbh
my cars got the rear screen done but noi side windows, i was gonna get mine done but aint sure
btw i was quoted 25 quid per window in london

Fronts to keep it legal you wont get away with anything really...
Without checking from memory the front windows must allow a VLT of 75% and with a factory tinted glass that is normally almost that level of tint.

Suppose you can tint the front if you are willing to roll the windows down every time you see the old bill May be cold on a winters day at high speeds though...

thats exactly what i do. have been doing it for 5 years with no probs. id rather get a lil cold than get a ticket.
