That's a good price for Driveline. It's around £12.50/ltr in Halfords
Silkolene had a detramental effect on the synchro on my 99MY when I had it. Changed to Syntrax and it was cured!

Yep, should be able too.

Last Novemeber I had developed a crunch and a vibrating noise in my gearbox. Decided to change the gearbox/rear diff oil for the above Syntrax stuff. Got 5 litres delivered from Opieoils for about £36 9special offer).

Me and a mechanic mate got the scoob up on the ramps (my99 uk turbo b.t.w.) and drained the gearbox. Was loads of little metal bits magnetised on the drain plug and more coming out with the oil.

Changed it for the Castrol, and did rear diff too. It made the vibration's seem quieter, but the crunching was still there. Saturday December 15th 2007 @ 6.30am down Tescos, it went. Still drove but clunked and rattled in every gear. Was totally goosed, not of the oil, but mileage (135,000 on original 'box).

Hopefully you will have a better outcome than I did

As C'OB said, it'll be fine in the final drive.
