08 Sti MPG
HI
Looking at an ex demo 08 STi. Can anyone give me some real world MPG figures.
I see Evo mag is getting 25 is this possible?
Had a 06 Hawkeye and never really got more than 17/18 mpg.
Thanks.

Easily does 24/25 on the motorway in Sport or Sport # at a steady 85, upto 29/30 if I take it steady at 70 in Intelligent mode. Spirited driving/town work drops it but my overall average across 8500 miles is 26.5mpg although I do a lot of motorway miles so might skew it slightly. B-road run obviously lowers it a lot too but does give you plenty of smiles.
Hope you are getting a good deal, I tried trading my 08 STI (with Prodrive gold 18" GT1's and a couple of other options - against a £22K Mini JCW and a £24K VW Tiguan) last month and got offered £15K, the dealer they tried (who I bought it from) really didn't want to buy it and had 2 demo's for sale themselves, mine had 7.5k on the clock at that time.

My average over the first 3100 miles is 25.2 MPG. It's the supercar equivalent of a Toyota Prius for economy
I must also add i am not a fan of the intelligent mode, just seems to defeat the object of having an STI.

On board computer is showing exactly 27.0 for the 5,000 miles I have covered since I got it.
Have had 28 on motorways (several slow days at 60 or so). Rest of the time just under 27 on normal mororway driving in I mode with the odd blast to over take.
Low 20's across country - lots of fun.
In town worse than across country. Better economy than the 2.5 WRX I traded in, so I'm delighted.

1/2 hour and not seeing over 15mpg sounds like entertaining driving Well done... like some others I'm not a huge fan of the I mode, only when the tank is running low and I somehow think that I mode will make sure I get to a petrol station!
