Question where do you get insurance from?

Reason i ask is, im 22 with 4Yrs NCB and 4 yrs license, and have sat on my drive a classic WRX.

i bought it few months back to tidy up and put on the road as my winter weekend toy, after i finished all my car shows in the summer toy, (yep the escort no-one on here likes! )

anyway, i did searches when i got it 3 months ago and for limited milage insurance (being only driving it odd weekend during winter) quotes were coming out at £1200 with the younger gf one too.

Now im ready to drive it, i got some quotes only to find out most now wont even insure me? and if they do its like £1900 plus without the gf on the policy? thats £1900 for 3000 miles by the way!

I have only done the comparison sites so far, but they cover most. Also tried to swap the policy off the escort to scoob, but they wouldnt quote me either?

So where do you get your insurance from and age and NCB?

If i cant get half decent quote its going to have to go, (so much so its already for sale on Pistonheads )

Only reason i can think of for these prices is the obvious one.... the credit crisis! or does anyone know any other reasons why my quotes have gone up like 50% plus in 2 and a bit months?

There is an insurance forum on here fella, have a look there. Most seem to use A Plan or Keith Michaels.
