Question

Perish the thought that anyone would buy an STI in any color but Subaru Blue, but I have to admit I'm considering it. However, the dealers can only come up with picies in the normal Blue.

Can anyone with the new STI in DBM or Silver either post a picie, or mail one to me so I can make a decision.

Simpsons in Swindon now have thier demonstrator, and I'm out for a test drive next week. Having driven the import a few months ago hopefully I'll be able to judge how the UK version compares. I've seen mixed postings on this already...

If you are after a UK car, they are only available in WR blue and blue black mica, with silver and white as special orders.....no DBM

...and, if I understand the brochure correctly, you can only have the white or silver in the "standard" (ie non-prodrive) version to special order.

Plus the waiting list for "standard" cars is longer than the prodrive cars. The dealers are *really* pushing the prodrive version!

So, going back to the initial question - does any one have any silver or blue black piccies. I am also interested to see the difference.
IMO a silver prodrive version STI7 would look the dogs proverbials, but as they're not doing it blue/black looks like my second choice, minus the gold wheels.

Yep - to add, if you want a non prodrive car it appears to be May/June or so for one....in any colour!

Yeh, sorry - meant Blue Black Mica. I'm tempted to pay the extra for the Silver but I'm not convinced what the smoked glass headlamps and gold wheels will look like, so need to see them before deciding. Not tempted by the Prodrive version though - hang on to my money for some performance upgrades

I've tried various websites and can't find any picies there either...

Unhappy

Andy,
Thanks - do you know if those are the standard wheels cos the dealer said you still get Gold wheels on the Silver STI?

The dealer also said Silver costs more, although they couldn't tell me the price last time I called in. If you know different, let me know. I could still be swayed by the Deep Blue though but still after a picie of that one.

Thanks anyway.

I think Dave mentioned above no DBM for the STi!

They are the standard wheels but look like they have been refurbed/coated in grey/anthracite. As for charging more for silver? my dealer didn't mention anything when I spoke to them about getting a silver STi for June
I'll check it out......

I'm sure I read on here that Melville's (dealer in Scotland) had a standard silver STi in stock with no-one's name against it.

Might have gone by now, but might be worth a phone call.

Autocar recently tested a Blue/Black STI 2 to 3 weeks ago. This had the gold wheels.

Check you're library for a copy maybe?

Don't fancy trying to keep it clean!
