John,
Just wanted to say thanks for giving me the opportunity to experience your driving today. I am still grinning now!
The "curves" were my particular favourite and even though you said that you couldn't go flat out, it still felt VERY fast. I don't think I have ever experienced speeds in a car of 140 mph before.
Glad I had the chance and it has given me a taste for more!!
Thanks again.
Clare

Thanks Clare, It was great to meet you in person after seeing the odd photo of you in the muppet show.
I did manage to take craner curves flat later in the day, the track was very greasy and it was a bit of a sphincter moment, blind faith type of thing.
Not driven my Westie for almost 6 months so i was a bit rusty but it was great to get behind the wheel of a quick car again. Great fun. It was really great to see plenty of friendly faces too, been too long since i drove on track.
Really glad you got a kick out of it. It's quite a quick little thing isnt it.
Here's a few pics taken showing my westie with it's new Compomotive ML wheels, the replacements for my stolen originals, they suit the car well i think. I dont have a piccy of you in the car clare unfortunatly but someone was taking shots, Ian i think. Got a couple of Sandy though.

Sandy was very cool as usual, all she wanted to know was how fast we were compared to my quickest lap round dono. She was gutted when i told her i had lapped faster round the ring than when she last sat in the car. LOL
I was curious as to how quick that cossie really was as everyone was saying it was very fast. It aint THAT fast. LOL (actually it was bloody quick for a heavy car)

Hi John,
Completely off topic, but just wondered how those 'ickle plastic side window things are? (I've got a 2.0 Vx Westie) - do they keep the wind off without door, always find my eyes watering like a git without door!
If so, how much and where from?
Ta.!

yes they do work, i cant drive the thing without them, my head tries to fall off above 120MPH. LOL
They are home made, just get some plexiglass cut and bent. The hinges that fit into the door mounts are just the standard ones you can buy from westfield.
Nice to meet you too Bob.

I wonder if Mark and Sandy have got home yet?
Plus, I wonder if Sandy has:
a) Warmed up
B) Recovered from John's rising to the bait of another yellow and blue ford type beastie whilest on their warm down lap
Still you showed him ehh John even if master mellow got in the way
