Default 05 sti type uk ppp

can anyone explaing the diffrences between this and other sti's?

some people say it has forged pistons, some say not.

im confused

PPP is " Prodrive Performance Pack", this is basically is a bhp boost from 265 to 305. Done by high flow cat exhaust with back box, ECU remap, uprated fuel pump.

Just looked through my STI 05 brouchure, and it does say it has Forged Pistons, complete with a little pic.

dont all new age sti s have forged pistons though ?

Well they must do, as per the book. certainly on 05 onwards, and probabaly right back to bug eye STI's

Good ponts are that you get 305bhp to start with, bad points are its still not enough .

Im not really aware of any bad points in the reliablity of the car, if your looking at one to buy, think the PPP's should have a certificate with them to say its a genuine PPP, other than that, you should be good.

Knocking rear shock absorbers is the only really bad point I can think of if treated well, do a search and see what I mean.....

well i got a further 12 months warranty on it so they can knock all they want
