How bad is this damage? Any mechanics?
Hi guys looking at buying this car but its miles away and dont want to go 200 miles if its f##ked. The bodywork doesnt look too bad but its whats underneeth i have no idea at. Apparently only thing wrong mechanically is radiator, car starts fine. With a small bump like this is there gonna be massive expense on damaged engine? Cheers. could save me a whole lot of heart ache.

Looks like just panel damage to me. Shouldnt be much wrong with the engine because all the important parts i,e turbo, air intake, and exhaust are the opposite side to the damage. A pic of the engine bay would be helpful if you could get one

i would advise you take someone who knows about bodywork damage, chassis could be bent, that would mean it could never go back on the road, has the car been written off? why is the owner not getting the insurance to fix it???

problem with front enders in a scoob is the cam pulleys are at the front and are made of bakelite on the classics, and a light bump can push the aircon rad back enough to go through the cam covers and into the belt/pulley causing a shedload of damage...trust me
