Looks like the scooby could have good competition

Anyone see driven last night, the new Civic type R was one of the testing motors.
Looks like genuine competition.
They had it at Castle Combs race track taking on the Honda S2000 and beating it. Both drivers were ex-professionals too.
I must say, I like the look of it too. And for the asking price, at 200bhp it looks like a damn good purchase.
(200bhp normally asperated VTEC. (Im sure it shouldnt rev that high!)

As the proud ex-owner of an MY98 Turbo and the current owner of an MY02 CTR
I think that the S2000/CTR race was a bit staged at the end as on a real track the S2000 would have just come up on the inside when Plato lost it. But apart from that it's about time that someone stomped on EVO's opinion of this car.
The Clio does have a slightly better chassis setup but only something that a real pro is going to extract.
The T-Sport seems to have not much going for it unless it has hidden powers. Seems to be too little too late for the Corolla.
The CTR has a fantastic engine (with a noise at around 6500rpm that is as good as a Scooby any day), great handling and amazing brakes.
I'm planning to have mine on track in the summer - should be fun
