I GET PI*SED OFF WITH BULL S*IT BHP FIGURES
AS THE TITLE SAY'S I REALLY GET PI*SED OFF WITH PEOPLE SAYING WHAT HORSEPOWER YOU GOT,AND THEM SAYING MORE AND MORE 
..NEVER MEET SOMEONE WITH A LOWER BHP THAN MINE YET 
.
MINE IS 280 AND PLENTY FAST ENOUGH.HAD ONE TODAY 380 .
REALLY GETS ON MY NERVES.
ANYONE ELSE?.
I FEEL BETTER NOW, AFTER THAT MOAN LOL
..NEVER MEET SOMEONE WITH A LOWER BHP THAN MINE YET .MINE IS 280 AND PLENTY FAST ENOUGH.HAD ONE TODAY 380

I always knock a couple of hundered off the figure, so tell them it's running 200 ish. 
But your right, someone always has more, then when you ask for specifications they dont know.
I met this guy recently that had a "Colin Mcray special edition Impreza, with twin turbos as standard". He didnt know what car I drove, and was talking very loudly about it. I really enjoyed the look on his face when he realised I had busted him, and was asking loads of questions about it.
You gotta love pubs.

mine is near enough standard apart from panel filter and backbox!
must take it from 215BHP to at least 300 bhp as thats what most EBAY chavs say cars are running that they are selling!

A mate of mine recently swapped from a HKS exhaust to another make, fitted a BOV and an air filter & gained 60 horses in a morning. I therefore will be fitting an electric supercharger and a panel filter off ebay for a minimum of 100 hp extra!
If I was to fit 2 electric superchargers & drill my airbox would that give me closer to an extra 200 though?

Yep see it all the time....had a fella crashed a 96 wrx near my home one time and some of the 'locals' maintained:
"....not much wonder he crashed it, it was running over 600bhp, a real monster, i seen it going...."
Funny when i looked around this monster car it had 2 pot FRONT brakes
no big turbo no downpipe/exhaust system no front mount or larger top mount ....in fact it looked just like a standard wrx to me
And gotta laugh at the crazy bhp figures people get with a few bolt-on's and an air filter. Like a fella told me one time his 'mate' had a 2 litre redtop corsa (150bhp) which was chipped and had an exhaust/filter, again it was pushing out 220bhp+
Think it was in the pub were i heard these stories also

My old Cav GSI was 150 ATW with only exhaust filter and chip.
My Scooby made 236bhp at TEG a couple of years ago, overboosting and therefore fuel cutting on the rollers.
After that, added a Walbro pump, FMIC, IK, and changed the Magnex exhaust that was on for a Nur Spec R. I think thats it, oh turned the boost down too.
Made nearly 100bhp more, from bolt on's.

Yep, ENVY if they dont have a more powerfull car then a friend of a friend does. Always the same and usually heard in the pub. Or even worst when they try to pick fault at yours
"yes its got 500bhp, but my mates nova will do 80 miles to the gallon" or "an evo is a faster point to point car" irritating and pointless quotes. Best off staying away from car conversations all together or at least until you get on here with normal people again

I run my tyres at 38psi all round so its lighter and faster and easily knocking on 440bhp with the tints and lip spoiler I added

Mine has just got a centre decat with a stainless back box that gives it a nice burble and a simota panel filter, so am guessing about 220bhp, guy who used to work at same place said his mate had " a proper scooby with the big spoiler on " I drive a turbo wagon btw, had to walk away from him or all hell would have broke loose
