Tell Tale signs of a CDB
Are there any ways of spotting a CDB without having it in bits, are there any markings on the case or anything?

Cross hatch marks behind the alternator belts. There is a picture of it floating about somewhere.

It will have cross hatching on the block, just above the oil filter.

mine has those markings too but its definately an open deck as it was rebuilt in february :S
