Job loss and Scooby ownership
How long till you have to bite the bullet and sell the scoob after losing your job? I only bought mine (on HP) 5 weeks ago and now have lost my contract job!
I reckon I have enough money to last till October without work but am gutted at the prospect of losing my car....

I got made redundant last week and theres not much work about in my trade at the min but at least its not on hp so will just have to take it off road soon if i cant find anything, selling isnt an option because subarus are going too cheap at the min i dont think i would get what i want for it.

All the people in this thread are more employable than most of the nation on the basis you all know the difference between losing and loosing!!
I'm hoping a command of English etc might actually start being a benefit again in the current climate.

Contracting has been dodgy since the late 90's anyway, your best option (depending on what you do as most companies are now getting rid of contractors due to overheads) is to look around for permanent work in your sector, lots of websites out there for everything so good luck with the next job

Sell sell sell. Atleast then you are in control. If your situation improves, buy another.

If you can, just SORN it until you find gainful employment.
Sell only as a very last resort, as in the current market, you'll inevitably loose your shirt!
