Default MY02 JDM Sti: good buy?

I'm after some advice. Guy I got my current MY97 wagon from has a MY02 JDM Sti for 7000pounds. It's got 25000miles on it and is a fresh import. The 7000 includes all costs required to get it on the road. My current car from him has lived up to expectations.

Assuming the mileage is genuine and it is in good unabused condition, is that a good price?

Any advice on this is very welcome. Might as well work out if it's a good buy before trying to get it past the leader of the opposition.

cheers

Seems a good deal. Was it from an auction? Ask to see the auction sheet if it is.

If it's kosher then it's a pretty good deal as it's £500-£750 cheaper than I would expect

GC8 (simon) might pop up here, he's got a good knowlege of the import game

Might be worth a PM

should've mentioned. it's a v7 wagon. Sonic blue. I believe it was from auction. I think he'll have the jumvea certificate for the mileage. Is there a premium for it being the last of the sti wagons?

I may have met GC8 simon if he's the one in the milton keynes area. I'll do a PM. Thanks for the advice.

cheers

I was looking a bugs both Grey import and Type UK in england when I was looking at buying my current car and that is a good price alright. I'd say you could get him a bit sweeter though as it is a buyers market these days.

ALWAYS ask to see / get a copy of the auction sheet for any JDM vehicle. If they "can't find it" then steer well clear

I looked at some JDM STi's a few years ago without certificates & when the RAC checked them, both had suffered from crash damage
