No interest in a jdm model, simple main dealer life for mine. If I had it has a play thing, more a weekend car, and not my work transport of 15K miles a year maybe a different story, also if I lived closer to Litchfields I do agree though, the specs of jdm are better, not to say I ain't loving my uk version.

Premium Euro Spec here also... didn't like the standard UK STI spec... I'm sure Subaru UK have purposly kept it low spec'd so the PPP version will look better...

2 models are confirmed, a 320 ps STi and a 380ps Prodrive Sti model, the latter having it's engine hand built by Prodrive, I assume the 320ps pack will be available as an after market upgrade, in which case it should be available soon, the rumour is they have got the burble back with the new exhaust as part of the pack.

I have driven.
08 WRX JDM 17" & standard
08 WRX JDM 18" and exhaust litcho modded
08 STi JDM 18"s standard
08 STi JDM 18"s exhaust & remapped litcho modded
08 STi Euro 18"s Top spec
08 STi UK 17"s.
(The modded JDM was not in the running as it wsa modded )
The STi JDM or the Top spec Euro were the only real choices out of the cars i drove I much prefered the handling and performance of JDM STi to the Euro Top Spec. I felt the UK STi was sadly let down with only havin 17" wheels.
I like most here would prefer a UK car with 3 year warranty but I like VFM. I have owned 2 JDM's so not unduly worried if UK or JDM As this is a new car out brains say go for 3year warranty. So i was aiming to go back to the "UK" fold. unfortunately VFM and my pocket will either go Euro or a JDM
IIRC IMHO

thats why considered it but the JDM was at a better starting place than both the UK and EU.
The UK did feel a bit lighter on the steering, a bit "wooly" compared to, the EU think more to do with 17"s than anyting else.
Both cars could do with chassis stiffening, mainly Springs and rear ARB but possible bushes aswell I think there is enough room in the comfort stakes to considerably improve handling without massive loss of Comfort
IIRC

This information has been confirmed From Subaru UK Ltd to all dealers, as far as I know these models will be at the Motor Show

Agree with you there Tony. Will have to see what happens with the ppp when it finally arrives. Mind you, my EU import will forfiet the warranty if you fit a ppp, so ive heard, so that leaves the door open depending on price. RCM are developing products for the 08STi as we speak. Loving it at the moment tho', grip is fantastic.

As soon as any upgrade packs are brought out im going straight back to the main dealer.. Now im used to it i feel the standard STI needs more power.. mind u i thought my e60 m5 needed more power after 3 months. lol
