Easy as mate Here's a wee guide I put on Cymraeg Scoobies But I did forget to say, undo thefuel cap to release the pressure!!

Classic Scoobs- the seats fold down so it's easy access to the pump
Newage Scoobs- sorry guys, rear seats out I'm afraid!!

Once the seats are out (on Newages) lift the boot mat on the driver's side and you'll be faced with the access panel for the pump

Remove the four philips head screws and it'll reveal this (minus the letters

Remove the power lead (A)

Pinch the brown clasp on B and gently work the connection free, being VERY careful as there will be fuel still in the pipe!!

Using pliers, pinch the clips together on the two pipes at C, slide them down the rubber tube and work them both off the metal pipe.

Using a 5/16 socket, remove all the bolts holding the pump bracket in.

Gently work the bracket free and remove from the car. You may have to turn it through 90' a few times!!

This is what you will be left with-

Using the pliers again, pinch and slide the clips on the old pump so you can remove the pipe. Remove the cable from the pump also.

Using a flat head screwdriver, pry the old filter from the pump so that you can reuse it on the new one as it's fairly bigger as you can see

Slide the new rubber hose onto the metal one on the bracket and refit the new pump. Secure using the jubilee clips supplied and reconnect the old cable.

Refit the new pump ensuring all the connections are nice and tight

Once it's all back together, you'll need to prime it by turning the ignition on/off about 5 times. Start engine and you're done!! Should take about half hour in total!!

How odd, on my classic jdm the seats are bolted in and had to be removed, no folding whatsoever.

UK cars have folding seats, not imports.

Air Con? Mine went in the bin 18 months ago.

My back seats are just for show now, too. Only 2 bolts holding them in and no rear belts. I don't carry backseat passengers.

Well im not getting any younger so i need my creature comforts.

You know, if you fitted a cf prop to your car you might come first in class at the sso.

Unless it's an RB5 or P1 which both have solid/fixed rear bulk heads and no folding seats.

Did the fuel pump in my Newage STi and RB5. Both a doddle but a little more difficult than removing the TMIC

Would that have helped? 3rd in class was a 2.5l 418bhp type R. Not sure what the 1st in class was.

Not that I give a shit.
