I've been taking my driver door apart for a bit today trying to get the lock out (as i lost me keys). Has anyone ever removed the locks from their door?

yes i have taken loads apart you actually need to remove the outer handle to remove the lock, and when you put it back together check it is working properly before you shut the door by using a screwdriver to trip the latch.

I am taking it apart because either i will get a complete lock set from a breakers a couple of miles up the road or a set i am watching on Ebay. I've got the handle off, but can't seem to see how the lock comes out, its very tight in there to see anything as there's all the Electric window system in the way, i can see a c-clip on the side of the interior do i take that off and it comes out to the exterior of the car?
And actually its very easy to start the car without the keys .
