Default Has anyone ever lost grip

I have absolutely thrown my car into corners and got the front wheels to scream a little but what do you have to do to completely lose it?

I got it to drift in the wet.

Go faster and use more throttle. I've got Toyo T1Rs on mine and Whiteline ARBs etc all round and sliding it from one side of the road to the other is a breeze wet or dry (make sure there's nobody over there first though).
Kevin

P.S. under no circumstances is drifting off the road completely a good idea.

I'm on T1-Rs and they dont budge. I used to have T1-Ss. excellent in the wet.

I am just pushing the car more and more but waiting for it to give up the ghost.

with all 4wd systems you keep the power in if its loosing traction,, that dont mean floor it but it means have some power to the wheels and it will pull out the understeer,,,, if you come off the thottle the car will over steer more,,,,,, i learned this the hard way at the ring but i bottled it and come off the throttle and tried to turn harder with the wheels slowing the car down sort of

i span it then went backwards facing the otherway

if i kept the power on i could have turned around it tighter as i was proved by my mates who got evo's,,,,, on a R888 tyres also seemed to help them pmsl

I lost it driving like an old one. 60 in a 60 zone. She just fish tailed on a bend, I ran out of road side ways and was stopped by a tree.

Car was only six months old and had been my second impreza.

Was gutted but though me that they do let go from time to time.

are we talking about power sliding or driving on slipery surfaces ??

understeering and loosing it on ice/oil are never controlled the same way ever !

Just the once. Went around a round about a bit too aggressively one Sunday morning in the damp as was new to the car and under the popular misconception that AWD can't lose traction. The back started to slide out and I tried to over compensate like I used to in my previous car the 350z. The Impreza snapped back at me though and nearly ripped my arm off

Lesson learned... well, a few there.

am i really reading this correctly????

you are asking people on here to tell you how to crash your car???

not saying i don't drive my car hard from time to time as that would be lie and i have experienced a bit understeer a couple of times when coming off roundabouts or out of tight bends. but asking how too "lose" your car seems a little silly if you ask me but this is bound to see you "lose it" if thats what you want to do.

as you are aproching a corner hammer the throttle and turn in as hard as you can. if the car doesn't respond keep turning the steering wheel with you foot firmly planted too the floor.
this is likely to cause you to understeer off the road, into a tree and die

alternatively you can do as above but tug the handbrake at the same time and then you will spin off the road, hit a tree and die

hopefully either of these options will allow you to reach your goal of "losing your car"

Good luck in your mission just make sure you don't take any one with you
