Exclamation oh **** I have superglue on my paintwork



Help guys.

I have manaed to get superglue on my bumper paintwork

Is there anything that will take it off?

I am gutted

Sometimes when u buy super glue you can get a anti-sticking agent with it in a seperate tube that brakes it up, never used the stuff but i have seen it, maybe that will brake it up enough to t-cut it or something.
Maybe look on the RS supllies website at there chemicals.
OOOOOOOr poundland sells like 12 packs of super glue and one of them is a anti bonding agent. IF ur in Glasgow its the poundland besdie Mcdonalds round the corner from Argos.

Go to Halfords and get some superglue remover. Its with all the superglues, spray glue, roof glue etc...

It really does work. I had a similar problem and it literally wiped off with a few applications.

This is the stuff I used;

Adhesives, Glue & Sticky Stuff,General Purpose Adhesives,Henkel Loctite Glue Remover Gel (5g), Avenue Supplies, Plumbing, Heating and DIY Specialists located in London Ealing W13

Hi mate, if you struggle drop Polished Bliss - Car Care Products - Car Care Advice - Detailing Services an email they will have some glue/tar pro remover stuff and should be able to send you some. They are based up your way, tell them King Eric sent you

Guys the glue removal stuff from halfords worked a treat!!!!!!
Now all I have to do is remove my grill and super glue the broken clip and not my bumper this time!!!

If the clip is made of ABS, the correct stuff to glue it with is called Butanone, (MEK, or Methyl Ethyl Ketone), and can be bought from good modelshops. It has trade names of Mekpak and Plastic Weld.

DO NOT confuse these with common styrene cement.
