Now listen carefully...I will begin,

Really wanted STi rear lights to complement silver scoob, found a site in USA who could do them for half the price of those in UK.

Lots of e-mails, photos, e-mails...ordered and payed for, cant wait!

Christmas came...and went, ding dong! delivery for Moles Dad, opened up the box...wow they look good.

Hang on! no! I dont believe it! two L/H units!!!

Lots more e-mails, spend more money sending it back to USA, man in USA wont send replacement till he gets 1st unit back!

Three weeks later, ding dong!...open parcel,to find a R/H unit, but its different to the L/H unit!

Suddenly (you still awake?), realised that the L/H unit is for wagon...not for our saloon, arrrghh!!!

More e-mails, USA man thinks we are on the wind up, very off with his replies...finally agreed to send out correct unit, only after he had received the "wrong" 2nd unit.

WAKE UP!

The second one arrived today...Hooray!!

Fitted today, well pleased, even with two lots of return post to USA, import duty,Vat etc. still less than half price for brand new genuine STi parts...an illuminating experience!!!

Cheers, Moles Dad.

Very nice Me likes

What a nightmare getting them!, thought that kinda thing only happens to me..

I just got back from the Sussex meet, terrible weather, but a good line up of cars..loads infact. I've now decided I want an STi5
Thats a change from the S3 I wanted yesterday..

Oh dear, I knew I shouldn't have gone
Still, sold the STi6 spoiler so worth the trip!

Whats the next mod then?

John

John, glad you had a good time in Sussex, some good roads to/from If I remember correctly.

STi 5...go on you know you want to!!!

Officially NO MORE MODS.

(whisper)...we need a scoobysport centre section cos we found out there is a cat living in what is supposed to be an STi centre on the car

I think a previous owner must have nicked it back before he sold it, just cant believe a scooby owner would do such a thing.

When I bought the car it was complete with Prodrive suspension and Prodrive performance packs, with this is "suposed" to be a de-cat STi centre!

No wonder we ain't getting flames...just gotta have flames

Today we turned the boost up a wee bit, reset and calibrated the boost controller...seems a bit quicker, but with Mole and a full tank it's hard to say, by Tuesday I will know!

Cheers mega_john, Moles Dad.

You're right. They're just lights, but I have to have them. How much all in? (I'm just about to go to vividracing's website, but wanted to know what happened with shipping, duty, etc.)

Carl, We got them in the end, including the import duty and 2x return post for £215.

If you're lucky you wont get charged duty+vat!

They are now listed on VR for $255 (£180), we paid $225 (£155) - e-mail them maybe?

Listed on Graham Goode for £360 PLUS Shipping.

Cheers, Mole

ps. let us know how you get on with the Texas lightman massacre!

I think Scoobymania used to do these for just over 200 quid, but they're not shown on their site any more. Well, they're shown but they don't appear in the price list.
