G'day all guys n gals on this site.
I'm the owner of an MY00 (white) from Tasmania (Australia), and a member of the Tasmanian WRX Club (T-REX Club).
This site looks great...can't wait to explore a little more.
Can you tell me if there are a lot of WRX's on the roads in the UK ?
I notice you refer to these cars as "scoobies"...we call them REXs in Australia.
Anyway, look forward to further use of this site

Hi Dood,
For me to say welcome sounds strange cause I'm new here too! It does look like a good place to chat about rex's
Hope to learn heaps hehe I want to buy an STI....but it all depends if I get work after March 31 and then if i can save....if it happens it will be early 2003 
...a LOOOONG way off if ever!

my sister and her hubby are just back from a wedding in Hobart, his nephew got married to a local. If you saw 3 kilted men squashed into a 911 convertible - that was some of them.
He says they saw a lot of scoobys over with you on their travels, but only managed to squeeze a legacy in the background of one of the photos.
The Scooby name came from Scooby Doo, rhyming with Subaru. We only got WRX's on the MY01s, previous models being imported. Maybe if we'd got them from the word go we'd be all be talking REXs as well.

I'm here coz I want the easy, lazy life with the afternoon siesta.
Plus I'm king with the rex here. Don't see many rexes here. Probably spot only one a month. $70,000AUD is a lot of cash for a WRX over here, considering an STI goes for 55,000AUD in OZ. Over here, $90,000AUD for the new STI, well what more can I say.
I'll be back in OZ soon though. I do miss Australia and also the sound of a V8

I haven't actually got one - YET I was very close in August 2001. I was about to buy a MY98 from a guy(slayer or conrad - you may know him from Mt Pleasant) but he decide to keep it .
At this stage my plan is to hold off and get an STI. If all goes to plan I'm about 1 yeat away from that I think I just saw you piccies on Yahoo??? Very nice dood very nice! BTW I'm a 'world away from you' - Ocean Reef

There are a few REX's down here in Tassie, but given they have been around in OZ for 6 or 7 years now, not a huge following.
Our club (T-REX) has about 20 hardcore members, with a few more fringe dwellers.
Say, how do I post a picture on these posts ?
