Depends on how you drive really. A nutcase in a fiesta could beat PS Lewis for example...!!

well, not in my old scoob but in a VR4

a Ferarri 348 (I think it was), didn't overtake it but it didn't get away

mates laughed it off after saying no way, he wasn't racing, well, we went from 20 off a roundabout to about 140 to the next one!

fiat 500. Such a proud moment for me. I'd like to thank my fans, my coach and my family, not forgetting the almighty lord himself.

Did it look like this:

Or do you mean the older Jagaur XK8 and not the new one?

If it was this then its the V8 Vantage. Front engined 4.3 litre Jaguar V8 with 380bhp. A tad portly though. I raced one last year (90-150mph) was pretty even.

A DB9 is generally much rarer on the road and has a 6.0 Ford based V12 with min 420bhp, it weighs more but is a descent chunk faster than the V8 in a straight line.

Top Gear power laps (sorry no Aston V8 though):

Aston Martin DBS 1.23.93
Aston Martin Vanquish S 1.27.1
Aston Martin DB9 1.27.1
Mitsubishi Evo VIII 1.28.9
Subaru Impreza STI 1.30.1

Nice kill BTW

Two cars spring to mind,

I had a bit of fun with a Boxter 3.2s, we were pretty level until he bottled it!

And an Overfinch Range rover, that came steaming up behind me, flashed me then overtook, so i pulled into the fast lane and booted it. The gap already between us didnt grow or shrink and i was suprised till i saw Overfinch on the boot!

Not by me, but my Mrs floored my old classic UK turbo whilst at the lights opposite a classic RA. The lad in the RA saw it wa a woman driving and didn't pay any attention. The Mrs on the other hand acted like Peter Grffin had taught her how to drive (google it) and she nailed the throttle.

Left the RA standing and she would not shut up about it for many months.
