Default wrong dumpvalve, but can i still fit it somehow?

i have just bought a dumpvalve, but its the wrong one. i have a 99 uk turbo so the dump valve bolts onto the intercooler.

i ordered a forge one that fits pre 99 models but wasnt sure if it would fit mine. as it was cheap i thought id order it anyway and see if it fits.

those of you who don't know, the 99 onwards valves will need to bolt to the intercooler and the previous ones dont. does anywhere do an adaptor which attaches the valve to the flange on the intercooler?

What are the benifits of fitting the sti topmount intercooler?

there was confusion when i bought it but i thought **** it for the price. ill just sell it on if it doesnt fit.

wouldnt have thought there was any need to get it done by specialists though? unless theres torque settings on the bolts? but even i can do that
