Evo VI Best evo ever IMO.Thats just me though.
I love 6'z, even though i'm a Scooby man.
Also come's down to weather you want the higher expenses,
more regular service interval etc................

Both cars are coming down in price quite quick now, getting a lot of car for the money! Red evo6 TME would be good but you wont get one at the price your looking at. I have always wanted a Type R impreza but there something about a white evo5 that i like. Havent really answered your question at all there haha, just confused myself more. Try and get a test drive of them both and see what you think.

^^^^ my thoughts aswell. Ive been looking around for type rs and they all seem to have engine rebuilds which is putting me off. The evo doesnt seem to suffer from this. And i dont want to be paying out for an engine rebuild on top of the money anitially spent.

mate if you buy one which has had the engine done and by a known tuner or the dealership themselves then dont be puit off, in a way it is the ONLY safe way to buy one as you know you will look after it and it is a horror story i have owned 5 imprezas now 2 with rebuilds and if anything they have been better.
then if you treat it right, sevice it well blah blah it will be fine imo. most go as they have not been looked after, not mapped and ran on uk fuel etc etc.
as for the evo6 when i was looking at them a fair few had suffered from there downfall and teh AYC had let go and from what i found that was not a cheap repair in some cases as much as a engine rebuildon a subaru.
but again these are just horro stories and which ever perfomance car you buy there are weak points and you can nevr really tell if you will be delt a bad hand, the nicest car, from the nicest person, with massive ammounts of history etc etc could stil be a dog, make sure whatever you do buy with your head and dont get blinded by the light of its a new car
good luck
