Default Scenario

If you have a full decat and mapped when it comes to mot do you put cat in and leave mapping as it is for a day or so then swap back? Or do you need it mapped again with cat in place?

Have you had all the cat's removed? As long as it passes emmisions test then it's ok. The tester can't/shouldn't remove the undertray to see if a Cat is fitted to the up pipe.

I doubt very much that it will pass an MOT without cats......I'd even go so far as to say "NO CHANCE".

Just find a "friendly" MOT station The do exist and even with the new fangled computerised thingumyjig, it's still possible to get an MOT with your full decat in place

Not done anything yet Im just wondering as I would want to do it in the future. Sports cat can be just left alone and pass mots but full decat is better for power and cheaper! But then its a pain mot time!

i was told that full decats will not pass mot, unless as was suggested you get someone to cheat it, but you will be driving an non road worthy car in that case no? always worried me incase something did happen and it surfaced that the car wasn't right, could also fall back on whoever did the mot in that instance.

My brother got his car through the MOT with no cats. Skyline though. He just adjusted his Power FC. Don't know exactly what he did but he must have made it run really lean or something during the test and then put it back to normal after.

Friendly MOT station. It wont pass with a full decat, but the car next to you will.
