Plus there is a little teaser WRC2008 image
Extract from Autosport:
The Subaru World Rally Team will give their much-vaunted new Impreza WRC2008 an earlier-than-planned debut on the Acropolis Rally, from May 29 - June 1, and will unveil the car at an official event in Greece on the Wednesday prior to the event.
Subaru had planned to introduce the car late in this year's World Rally Championship, but the team hope that by running it as early as round seven will give Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson the chance to be competitive with the hatchback before the end of the season.
"We are very excited to be able to launch the all-new Impreza WRC2008 ahead of schedule," said David Richards, Subaru World Rally Team principal. "It is testament to the dedication and commitment of the team behind the scenes in the UK and at STi in Japan.

Interesting snippet:
The WRC2008 also features a brand new livery created to align it more closely with Subaru's corporate identity, and though the car remains blue, the gold has been replaced by silver and white.

To be fair the Old livery was getting a bit dated

I wondered why it needed the scoop in the first place on a WRC car as it doesn't have a top mounted intercooler.
Cleaner without the Scoop aerodynamically speaking I would think.
Cheers.

Here it is
As some of you have spotted, there is no bonnet scoop. This is down to homologation - with the car being based on the Impreza, there would not be enough STI's made to support it this year, therefore the base car for WRC2008 is a standard Impreza - and thus no bonnet scoop...

But the WRX has a scoop and that's the standard Impreza shell? I don't see how the sales of the STI influences whether that has a scoop or not, surely it's the intercooler location? I would have thought they've chosen not to adopt the scoop for aero reasons? Happy to be wrong, just seems odd if the intercooler is on the top.

Subaru are using the same "WRC Rules" That allows all the other manufactures enter Non Turbo & non 4WD cars into the WRC.
It still seem strange to me that the "WRX/SGT" turbo with "Scoop" had been homologated for (Group N/WRCJ or whatever), Arai has been using it since start of season!!!
I just assumed early R&D was on standard shell was pushed forward to help Petter keep his sanity and interest. Rather than waitng to convert a STi and get it homologatied
IMHO
