Default Aircon Recharge

Just wondering if anyone has used kwik fit to do an aircon recharge, they have a good garuntee whereby if they don't get it colder than it was before you don't pay, and to be honest mine feels a little pants at the minute, i'm pretty sure it's never been recharged so it's overdue.

i see where your comming from but also ive deal with LOTS of garages each day and understand theres some crap ones out there also

kwick fit only let the trained monkeys do the servicing and regassing,,,, and even though the servicing they aint good at,, the aircon gas is **** easy for em and he comes with the benifit of " not colder then dont pay ! "

id risk it but then the ONLY kwick fits i would take my car to let ME use the ramps pmsl

A few people on here have tried it and say it works well.

I personally wouldn't go near any Kwik Fit anyway,a friend of mine is the manager of one and the things he tells me they do is shocking !

To be honest i wouldnt use kwik fit or the gas from halfords. The gas in a can has no way of measuring the gas already in the system and doesnt vacum it down or add oil.

I work at a renault garage and were doing them at £60 at the mo with a dye treatment to check for leaks afterwards.

The Halfords one has a gauge and also comes with oil

I dont really fancy doing it myself, i know it's easy, but i'd rather pay the extra £20 and let someone else do it who can take responsibility if it all goes **** up.

I had mine re-gassed at Kwik-fit. Everything was great and still is 1 year on.
