Hi guys bought a universal 3 wire Lambda sensor from Powerstation and not sure which wire on the sensor goes to which wire on the cars wiring as they are different colours.
The car has the following wires:
1. Black with red stripe
2. Red with black stripe
3. White with red stripe.

The new lambda sensor has the following:
1. White
2. White
3. Black

The car is a 93 wrx any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

i think that the black wire on the new sensor is the signal wire, if you have a look at the old sensor plug the terminal which is gold plated is the signal wire and the other two don't mater as they are just the heater wires

 

Cheers Gaz, only problem is that when myself and a mate went to change the sensor the plug had been cut off and the wires joined via crimps to the original car wires, hence the sensor had already been changed previous to me owning the car, so i don't have the original plug to look at. So from what you've said, all i need to do is find out which is the signal wire on the cars wiring (as i know its the black wire on the new sensor wiring), and the other two can connect to the remaining two in any order.
