Bird Lime - Serious Damage...
Went away with work for a week.
Came back, my immaculate 07 plate STI was covered in bird crap.
Washed it off straight away, and most was fine, but two large (1" diameter) and one small (1/2" diameter) patches with serious spider like cracks remain.
Looks terrible. Couldn't believe it.
The car is just over 6 months old.
What joy do you reckon I will have with Subaru?
Cheers!

Bird crap is extremely nasty stuff, very corrosive. I left some on the soft top of a previous car, and it actually partly bleached it after about a week. I'm a lazy git when it comes to cleaning my car, but seagull **** gets washed of pretty quick.

not great paint - mine's 7 years old, shat on all the time and never had that. got to be worth a go under warranty (I'd show them the rubbish paint and not fess up to the bird ****) - good luck.

I get 2 or 3 bird craps on the car each day at this time of the year. Last year I left one on for about 3 days, that ate into my paintwork and looks a right mess. I wipe them off asap now, i'll be doing exactly that in a bit
