how much to insure wrx sti type uk please
hello guys & girls.
im new to this site so not sure if this is the best section to ask this, but im possably looking at buyig a WRX STI TYPE UK soon as i have done all i can do to my little ford and think its time for more of an everyday car and something new as i have never had a car newer than an L reg lol.
my question is how much do you lot pay or should i expect to pay for insurance on 1 of these model scooby's???
i am 27
full uk licence
7 years no claims
3 points for sp30 4 years ago
i am getting a changeover quote from my current insurers now (HIC) but there normally over 30yrs old only on these models, but as my little xr2 is no slouch in the performance stakes they said they can proberly sort me a good quote.
what do you under 30's pay & who is best to get a quote from?
regards
marc.

Start by getting some quotes using confused.com or similar. I like to use a reg no from a car for sale Subaru's used car site. Then phone Keith Michaels (you must ask for Gary) and A Plan and they should easily beat the best one.

As others have said, ring A-Plan or Keith Michaels. When I got my first STI, I was 27 and was paying around £700 with full no claims and no points, but it depends on where you live, etc.

They're about as strong as you can get. They regularly do very well in reliability surveys (much better than BMWs and VWs etc), but it is a performance car, so brakes, clutches and tyres don't last that long if you give them some stick.
