Default Classic wrx electrical problem no spark/fuel

Do any of you have any ideas?

Having driven my car to work in the morning and parked it for the day. L reg.

When it came to going home, the engine would turn over but would not start.

In the end i towed it home. After having a brief look and checking the essentials, I found there was no spark, nor did the fuel pump run even before starting just on "prime up". The immobiliser has been removed all together so it is not that. The way I see it cannot be crank or cam sensors, as the fuel pump does not run in the first place. I even substituted the ecu for a known good one.

The ecu is standard.

Everything works except the coils packs and fuel pump.

Any help would be appreciated.
