Default bought new exhaust but need advice plz

yesterday decided to go to scooby clinic for a new exhaust and i got a Magnex cat back system and while i was there thought sod it and bought a Typoon induction kit too. The system sounds great and i think it has made my car more lively too, however i think in the long term the exhaust is a bit too loud, i know maybe i should of checked it out a bit more but Hersay if a wonderful thing.

What i would like to know about is, are there any other cat back systems that are a bit quieter but keep the scooby noise? I went to the scooby dealership yesterday and saw and heard the Pro drive exhaust and to be honest i don't think it sounds much different than my standard exhaust (my car is and 54 plate STI) it just doesn't have the scooby burble, any advice would be much appreieciated.

I'd always believed the Magnex was one of the quieter ones. If you're not interested in the Prodrive one, try the Revolution system.

I think you might find the exhaust quietens down a little bit ones you have put some carbon through it, and some of the holes inside get coated and smaller :P

Anyway scoobys are meant to be noisey..

I'm counting down the days till my remap so i can stick on my full decat Miltek ...

I understand that scoobies are supposed to be loud but i use the car everyday plus i am going to be driving to hannover at the weekend and its just to noisey to use everday, i actually have an head ache from it. When i got it sorted yesterday i thought it was the **** but now its getting annoying, i suppose the typhoon induction kit doesn't help but this is just over the top, however i think i am getting the prodrive now as i just don't have time to sort it out but thats what mistakes are for so you can learn from them (bloody expensive mistake).

Just replace the cat pipe with the standard pipe and keep the backbox. That will reduce the noise for you at no extra cost.

Just a backbox should not be that noisey.

lol, I hate to break it to you but that isn't very loud!

I'd recommended a resonated centre section and not decating the downpipe too if that is too noisy

ps a standard sti pipe will be MUCH quieter

Gotta say, that sounds alright to me and it's not that loud at all.

Replace the cat pipe with the standard one, just keeping the backbox and try that before you sell/spend any more money.

He's only changed the exhaust. I think the problem is he has too much burble.
