Nothing has been closed or deleted, just moved to a more appropriate forum.
It makes it easier to find such posts in the future, and leaves more space in the general forum (i.e. only a couple of pages of new posts per day, instead of 6), which in turn makes it quicker for those interested in "general threads" to scan.
