you should be able to sort a bung, is there a small hole in the bottom rear of the tailpipe?
The bung is normally fixed in place there with a small screw, my ninja2 came with one.
Can you not just start it up and get going instead of sitting with it ticking over? its not going to hurt things moving off straight away tbh, just keep thye revs down til warmed up.

yeah i always move off straight away & when i come home try & pull up not far from my road & let it cool down for a minute or so so i can just roll down my close & turn it off straight away but still not enough for them, we live on a close which is next to a big main road which you can hear lorrys all times going up & down which is differnt though Ive seen the baffle you talking about but mine hasnt got the small hole but i think it would fit just dont fancy drilling into the stainless steel bet its dffficult to do? would there be anyway of doing it without the holes? thanks for your help

Im sure theres something to fit if there is no hole drilled mate, either that or if your intent on doing your bit, maybe a similar style backbox but less noisy.....I don't think they have much of an argument especially if you drive it straight out and cool it down elsewhere tbh though...sod em.

This may be worth a try, goto a Halfrauds or motor factors, the mini G-cramps that are used to fix on cheapo aftermarket mudflaps may well do the trick to hold the bung in place, would make it quick to remove without tools.

I had the same issues, you can buy a 4.5" bung from scoobyworld for around 30 quid and drill the hole through the exhaust...job done, halves the amount of noise coming out
