Default best remap for v5 type R

got a v.5 99' type R,not sure which road to go down for remap as £ for £ api seem to come out on top with an all in price of £650 + vat for apexi commander supplied fitted and mapped by Pat Herbourne. the apexi seems to have very good reputation.
i know i could go down the Ekutek but!
any advice/info/recommendation on others would be cool.
mods are RCMS bottom end rebuild, uprated oil pump, uprated stage 1 fuel pump, full open neck tanabe 3" ss decat, api panel filter. think on standard turbo as plate is worn on blower.also assuming standard injectors.
also any info on places local to me,in nott'm(not TSL)

Bob Rawle

I'm not sure why Bob hasn't mapped it already as he does RCMS modded cars !!

Massively agree with Jeff. I've got the Apexi its a great bit of kit, but would be tempted by Simtek if i had to do it again. For the same price it has the option of 2 maps, doing away with the MAF (huge benefit on your car) and antilag if your a show off. Andy maps both and is the best in the business IMHO. see post 4

If RCMS has rebuilt it then I guess Bob Rawle has mapped it

I'd try and find out a bit of history before embarking on something new !!
