Default im confused guys re: road tax!

Can someone please shed some light on my querie!

Just recieved my tax reminder/renewal slip today in the post, upon opening said reminder.it turns out that my car tax renewal cost will be £300 for 12 months

however, searching on the link below it states-

Road tax - Parker's

not complaining guys,in fact quite the opposite, but i was led to believe that 2007 sti's would be hit with the 400 plus tax costs

cheers marcus

Hope this helps

Regardless of what the reminder says, your tax will be £400 for 12 months and £220 for six.

They probably get away with it due to the bit printed on it that says something along the lines of "please note prices correct at time of printing, if these change in the budget then you will have to pay the revised rate" - I got mine through yesterday and this was printed, in red, on the front of the form.

I had this for the car tax on my wifes car - according to the Post Office this happens basically the forms are printed well in adavance of the renewal and so can quickly become out of date. As others have stated, unfortunately you will be ripped off for the full price when you go to purchase the tax.

Got mine through today, decided to phone up and try to pay the 6 month tax, got quoted a different amount so spent the next 30 minutes arguing about incorrect prices with me saying stuff like trading standards etc so getting some kind of letter through the post explaining the changes - lets see what they say.

Try doing it online, right up to the point of paying. That will give you the most up to date price.

Don't even need a reminder, just your v5 number and reg
