Default Casablanca

Hi Everybody.

I'm new here. I've registered to help a friend locate a part for his car.

He bought an Impreza Casablanca without knowing how rare it was.

Somebody bumped it in a car park and it now has a broken headlight surround.
(The chrome plated plastic rim).

I have looked all over the net and can't source one for him.

Any ideas at all?

It is part number 1-84944FA000

Cheers.

Doug.

(You don't need to tell me how errrr "Interesting" the Casablanca looks!)

Thumbs up

Hi Doug,

Never heard of that edition before - are you/your friend in the UK and is it a UK car?

Will likely need the VIV/chassis no

We are both in the UK.

The Casablanca was a Japan only model.

Somebody exported it to Northern Cyprus (Right-Hand Drive like us and the japanese)

He bought it there.

He lives in the UK, but the car lies in Northern Cyprus.

Obscure, I know......

Doug.

I'm amazed there is one in the country. Even more so that someone bought it.

Probably looking at direct from Japan to get the parts.

I think these were built for the Korean market or something. Some developing country whose taste was for older looking cars. Nissan did the same with the March (Micra)

Cars in Northern Cyprus are incredibly expensive.

They have an unusual taxation thing going on.

My mate was offered this car.
It really was a bargain......."For you sir! plenty cheepness......"
Until.......
You need anything more complex than a bulb.
Then the fun starts.

I think the dealer was trying to out it quick as he knew this full well.
Great motoring for a year until it needs a new headlight rim.

Anything more serious, front bumper etc. It would be a write-off due to parts costs.

Just a headlight rim is causing all this trouble....

Any help?

Please?

Please?

Would it be possible to just transform the front into a normal scoob? You get a better looking car and cheap parts in the future.
