Mocom Racing 10th in Superbattle, although wet so best lap was 121.6 in qualifying - before this is dismissed let's talk power to weight and car specification.

430bhp on OE 2.0ltr engine, equipped with MD321T and weighing 1700kgs with fluids and driver, full weight STi driven home with aircon and baby seat

Well if you can't be bothered preparing a competative car you can't expect top results

Not a bad day all in all, rain/snow dance paid off for the superbattle don't think i could of bettered my 5/6th in qualifying in the dry, and all in a temporary car that took 3 days to build [shameful plug] Scoobyclinic rule! [/shameful plug]

lol, the difference was obviously that you didn't have a baby seat fitted as part of your race prep

I really didn't expect to reach the final Andy, I was expecting much more from Steven and Terry's cars.

The car is so heavy as it is laden with dynamat, mdf, speakers, amplifiers and my fat gut

Well done Kev

Just think how fast it will go when you spend a *full* weeks prep on it

Zak, i think a lot of people "expected" more from mine and terry's car, but it's what happens on the dya that counts.

My own car was simply not ready, simple as that, at best 80% ready, but probably nearly 70% capacity. This became instantly apparant in the warm up, when i couldnt keep up with Mike down the back straight, yet he was holding me at times through the corners.

My trap speeds were a good 10mph down on last year, but with only 1.6bar and 5 degrees of timing removed, i was expecting that.

I began to improve in 1st practice, due to tyre pressure changes but still lacked the grunt i had last year. I was 4 seconds quicker than last year through the twisty bit, yet 1 second slower on the straight bit. I know i had more to come in the qualifying.

However, i then got to the bottom of pit lane and the brake pedal hit the floor, so trundled round and back to pits and had the brakes bled, this meant i didnt have time to scrubb the new tyres in and check the pressures, so had to do the best i could, sadly a 1.23 wasnt good enough to qualify!

However, i am utterly upbeat, because the car is still in one piece, and i know it has more potential, as do i.

Steven

Well done Steven

I am sure you were just relieved to be there (as I was) and using it as a test for bigger and better things up in Scotland. Lots of potential to come

Well done Zak and everyone else that made it to the start line.
