Default WRC Car Sales, Bradford

Hopefully I should be in the position to buy a replacement car to my STi in the near future, and I'm not too fussed with either a Private or Trade purchase as long as I'm happy with the car/spec/price etc...

I've been trawling Pistonheads a lot recently for a couple of different ideas and I've seen the cars advertised at WRC Car Sales a few times. I've never heard of this company before, i.e - no good/bad reports on them so was wondering if anyone had any experience of them and if you could say whether it was a good/bad experience??

Also, their cars look great on the website... however, the same could be said for K**ghley Tr*de Ce*tre as their cars look nice from the pictures posted too but the reports on them are waaay less than good.
Are the cars at WRC as nice as they seem, or a big let-down when you go and view them in the metal??

I'm just trying to see if its worth the trip down from the east coast of scotland to look at them??

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Grant

Funny enough Grant I tried to find out about these guys the other week for a mate as we were looking around for him at the time, I pm'd a few of the WYIOC guys that I know off the forum and not one of them had heard of this company, one called a few of his mates as well and not one of those had heard of them either.... so it's a bit of an unknown so far.
The one comment was that all the pictures looked as if they may had been taken in Japan before the cars had been sent over ? I don't know what you think of that one.

Lets hope that someone on the forum is local and willing to have a look see for you.... I have to be honest some of the car's look very tempting indeed

Thanks so far... anyone else been along for a look around their stock?? Maybe bought something from them??

I have to say, when I called them they were polite and although they couldnt help me with my part exchange, they were happy to talk about the details of the car(s) I was interested in.

Grant

If the blue WRC Type R was spot on I'd be happy to buy it from them.

They had a dark blue type R but I was put off by the OS front wing not lining up with the door.

Also, they had a blue STI RA which I first saw in Cardiff - think its been passed through dealers as it had had a heavy front end smash and very poorly repaired.

The STI RA had a DE number plate which is Pembrokeshire where I live. A local place used to import smashed up cars and bodge them together. The STI RA was one of them.

Not saying WRC sell duff cars and the only classic I'll truly be happy with is a WRC Type R so I would buy it from them. Just saying my experience.

Keep a lookout for autoprestige aswell in Bradistan, they claimed a car was running 400bhp via TSL, when in fact TSL had only mapped it to 333 after I followed it up.

I can't say Ive heard of that co' either, im not too far away from there either.

Default Jap Performance UK

Hi All,

The only company i could vouch for is Jap Performance UK, Bradford, Quality Stock been around a while so they tend to have a lot of Feedback which i believe is mostly positive.

If you are visiting any surroundings dealerships in that area then i suggest you take a jigging machine with you as i was rather appalled when looking for my Scooby.

How desprate are you to buy? If your not, I might be looking to sell my MY05 STI PPP (WR Blue) in July. Prodrive Spring kit, Prodrive PFF7 Alloys.

Problem is, it won't be until July. Reason? I'm waiting for the spec of the new Focus RS. If it's 4WD as I hope, I'll be selling the Scoob straight away.

OK the RS won't be out untill 2009, but the RS will be a second car only, so no point in holding onto the Scoob. Money in the bank and all that.

My wifes parents live in Pontefract so I try and make some time to have a sniff round the importers around Bradford.

I was amazed that people actually buy these cars. I looked at a Lancia EVO2 for sale at £9999 and it was knackered. Hopefully the WRC V Limited will still be there next time we go up because this the car I want.

Another thing that shocked me was another local dealership connected to a very well known rolling road had a P1 for £14K. The Swiss Tony character selling the cars tried to tell me it was prefectly acceptable to ask that sort of money for a P1 they had no receipts for. The book was stamped but not one receipt. He also decided to tell me the other P1 being sold at the time in Ponte had a new engine from "a very well respected scooby tuner" but it was shafted and knocking its knickers off when cold (it was hot when I drove it mind you)

Slightly off topic of this thread but I am sure I saw a program recently that had Ford in it, and it was said that the 4WD idea had been dropped completely due to cost. So I think it will only be FWD and a tiny bit quicker than the ST.

Ford are keeping quiet about spec's untill the UK motor show in July.
From what I know, they have 2 test mules hammering around the Ring. 1 is FWD, the other 4WD.

Just hope the production version is the latter.

They are probably trading with one another, i.e. a car does not move at KTC move it to WRC at Bradford and hey presto they are selling

So looking on the net at KTC reviews I would be very cautious and get FULL RAC Inspection or the like on buying any car from the people as it will be money well worth spent.

Thats a shame. I notice on the Torque website they have a V6 STI RA. It would not suprise me if that was the one I mentioned higher up. If its got ODE as the last 3 digits then it is (Same gear **** and same AFC position - the kit may have been put on to try to cover the damage although a dented B pillar is hard to hide)

I'm not surprised, i think Torque of Keigley were going downhill and have linked WRC together just to give them a good rep but might go pear shaped as everyone all knows the type of cars they and KTC tend to sell.....

everyone should see this nice one as i said in post above my mate & i went to ktc before we got GT4 from WRC SALES and took a GT4 for a test drive and OH MY GOD !!!! 1st of all they would not let us test drive it saying we werent insured, but i know i was, so off we went with dealer driving and he must of thought i was born yesterday as he drove it very very carefully so i told him to put it in 3rd and floor it which he did reluctantly and straight away clutch slipped BAD and he said that was normal and also when we went round a corner the front of car dropped with a clunking noise then lifted when we straightend up and he said it was nothing really when we got back he said what do you think and then said its a nice car mate you wont find better **** me you could of knocked me over with a feather the best bit is they wanted £5495 for it on a M 1994 plate so my answer to was then we travel bradford where we got a mint one for a £1000 less and my mate has had not one problem with it ever since 1yr on That place should be shut down cos most of there cars a very dangerous for the road, and have you seen the interiors in some of them cars OH MY GOD !!! MOLD MOLD MOLD everywhere.

Stay well clear guys..................

Hi guys,

I bought the WRC type R from WRC (No.111) and must say what a nice bunch of lads. They had some nice cars an got a good deal for my Evo 4. Cars off it's head.

They do have a place in Keighley but I dont think its KTC as we went there an they were all ex drift cars by the looks of it with flat tyres etc.

They had a grey Type r advertised which was not in KTC which I think means its a diff place. But not sure.

JUST WANNA SAY THERE ARE SOME DECENT GARAGES IN BRADFORD, JUST BECAUSE THERE IS 1 OR TWO GARAGES THAT SPOIL IT FOR THE REST DOESNT MEAN THEY ARE ALL THE SAME...

FOR EXAMPLE YOU SAY JAP PERFORMANCE UK SELL SOME DECENT CARS YES THEY DO BUT LOOK AT THERE PRICES COMPARED TO THE REST.. THEY ARE AT LEAST 2 3K MORE THAN WHAT YOU NORMALLY GET THEM FOR...

KEIGHLEY TRADE CENTRE HAVE A BAD REPUTATION THAT DOESNT MEAN THEY ALL HAVE..

IN MY TIME I HAVE BOUGHT 3 CARS FROM 3 DIFFERENT GARAGES FROM BRADFORD..

THE FIRST WAS SMART WHEELS WHICH SOLD ME A DECENT EVO 6 IMPORTED CAR... WHICH I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH AT ALL..

THE SECOND WAS AUTOPRESTIGE IN BRADFORD I BOUGHT A SCOOBY FROM WHICH AGAIN WAS A NICE CAR WITH NO PROBLEMS..

THE THIRD WAS FROM CARS R US WHICH IM DRIVING NOW A SUBARU P1 WHICH HAS BEEN A GOOD CAR...

I USE TO WORK FOR A BODYSHOP FOR 6 YEARS SO I KNOW WHAT IM BUYING...

DONT JUDGE EVERYONE THE SAME..

I don't think we are, its just that the horror stories far outweigh the good ones IMO, especially at KCT
