My 06 was done in march with 15000 miles on the clock. It is basically and oil change and a check over. I took mine to a local specialist as opposed to a dealer. You should be looking at around £120 using either Millers or Motul or equivalent.

I'd much rather have the confidence in a specialist to take care of my car over a dealership, if you fully explain this to a potential buyer when selling the car I am sure they would be more impressed than seeing a dealer stamp on the service book, plus you have the peace of mind that your car has been well looked after by people who have dealt with Imprezas for in some cases over a decade.
I'd look to go with a specialist as both myself and Mikkel did with our MY06 & MY07 STi's, plus you don't get raped on prices!

Next time I might try a specialist, I just always worry that people will be awkward about it when (if!) it comes to selling it, even although I agree that a specialist probably takes more care than a dealer...

There are quite a few mate, AS Performance in Durham, Revolution in Gateshead and John Pye Motorsport. All of them specialise in Subaru's, Alyn at AS has worked on Scooby's for bloody ages, a lot of the Tyne Tees Scooby lads take their cars there. Revolution has just got a new facility which is extremely impressive, again they have lads there that have looked after Impreza's for bloody ages as well.
Both of those mentioned places are highly thought of amongst Scooby owners and their prices are very reasonable, for a Service 1 after the first year you are looking at £100-120 and literally the same for a Service 2 after 2 years.
As for buyers when the time comes, I have always used specialists and when I have fully explained the reasons why and what has been done, I have had no issues selling new cars. You keep any warranty as well as genuine Subaru parts are used in the service.
If using a dealer in our area there is only one who I would trust and thats SG Petch in Richmond, the rest in the North East are ****!! However, you still get hammered on prices but thats the way it is.

All very true. Dennis Common up in Northumberland are also a good dealer, but AS and Revolution are the best to deal with in my experience.

Not sure of any in South Wales mate, but as someone has already said, try an authorised repairers (think there is a search on the subaru site), and they should be a lo cheaper than the main stealers.
Best of luck.
