heres the link.
Your petition has been approved by the Number 10 web team, and
is now available on the Number 10 website at the following
address:
Petition to: Encourage Politicians to use Environmentally Friendly Vehicles.
Your petition reads:
We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Encourage
Politicians to use Environmentally Friendly Vehicles
We the public would like the Government/politicians to help
with the environment by within their working hours to use
smaller cars and care for the environment about pollution.
Show a good example to the general public that the issues of
increasing Motoring Taxes will be helped by all within the UK.

I will be adding this to as many car clubs as possible so if you know any could you do the same.
Why should they use Jaguars etc to drink fuel for us to pay anyway.

It's good to see that you've got 33 votes now.

Get 100,000 or so more and someone somewhere in the depths of government might actually listen to your request.

They won't actually do anything about it though..

No worries mate. still would be nice to support the petrol drivers who have the same car interest as you and me.
This is to tell them ,that if we have to pay the price. The government should also show willing.
What if in the future your LPG was increased. we would support you.

i only started it yesterday too.
i would like it to be in the papers.

...in the same way that they 'listened' when over 1 000 000 people marched on London and said 'don't go to war with Iraq. It's bad'? You and I pay for their gravy train mate, and as long as you and I pay for the jungle juice that goes into their cars they won't give a stuff about what you or I think. Just watch how they squirm and wriglle now that MPs expenses are coming under the microscope.

The gov't try to predict what will be popular and build policies around those predictions - they don't react to what you and I say on some online poll. They just have to be seen to be listening Job done.
