Is Scooby Net Addictive?
#1
I used to look on Scooby Net a couple of times a week but, now view it a work and home very frequently. My Mrs goes spare in the evenings for spending too much time on it!
Am I in the same boat as many others or should I calm down?

Don't worry, I too share an unhealthy amount of time on Scoobynet.
You should read the old link about what should you be doing instead of spending all your time on this site.
Personally, i could not care less - i enjoy reading what others have written and enjoy arranging meets and looking at other peoples cars.
My advice is DON'T WORRY

I've only been here for 2 days and look at my post count. But then again I'm a forum addict which is a good thing considering I don't have to spen any money (apart from cable bills) to enjoy myself.

I am with FB on that one, don't think you can say you are addicted till you have a 1000 plus post count, at least 50 posts a day and that is addiction. I only use it at work, I have better things to do when I am at home.

"Hello, My name is Markus and I'm a Scoobynetter"
Does that answer your question?
Addicted, hell yes! as it says, it's a scooby community and it's like my 'other' family, sad, yes, but true.
I hope that the shop, when it reopens has a nice scoobynet dripfeed kit for those days when I'm not near a computer with and internet connection.

Ditto to all of the above. Wifes always complaining about amount of time I spend on scooobynet while she's watching telly. I tell her straight, come and watch scoobynet with me you unsociable significant other.
Which I regret as once she's on it I can't get her off.

It is not addictive.
It is compulsive.
All BBS members go through a phase of "not wanting to miss the action" then sense prevails, normal life kicks in, you keep the friends you have made and avoid the charlatans etc.
Addiction means that there is a tolerance to the input/experience and then the need to exceed the previous experience to gain the same reward for the previous experience.
Ok to double your posting Little miss WRX style etc, laws of diminishing returns.
The important thing is that the Scoobynet community ROFLMAO turns as many pages as possible to reward the Scoobynet community

Nah, I've been drinking this week too and as a result written some complete tosh on scoobynet, but I have enjoyed it. The main thing is that most people on here are a friendly helpful bunch and that makes a change from a daily grind in central London....
