BUG BLOB HAWK .... which bits fit !?!?
I have a hawk eye sti but getting confused ...
Obviously some of the engine components are not "newage" cross compatible but which bits are ?? Are the rear body panels the same?? will a strut brace (i know waste of time ... maybe .. or maybe not) fit a hawk if it came from a blob ... will a gauge pod from a bug fit etc etc Basically wondering what to spunk money on but hard to compare when websites just say newage.
I noticed even the wheels are not ... or maybe not ...

all the body pannels are compatable on all new age cars, however, lights are different, meaning you need more or less all the pannels for it to fit. but youcan change a bug eye to look like a hawk eye using the standard mounting points

Are these all bolt on or is there any welding to deal with..?
One other thing, would the TMIC be in exactly the same place for the newer bonnet scoop..?
Not something I'd consider, just interesting knowing what's compatible (just in case a rear ended Cat D turned up cheap)..

the mounting points are identicle, so it is as you say just a bolt on bits, not sure about cross members (are they welded to chassi or bolt on?) if they are welded on then it will be fine.
i saw a bug eye with front end damage go into scoobyclinics workshop, then two weeks later it roll out as a hawk eye, inlcuding all lights front and rear bumpers etc.
as far as top mount position im not sure how they comapre im afriad, but i'd guess not far off
