Yes divide litres by 4.546 as i recall

For rough estimates of mpg on a tankful, I know that 45.44 litres = 10 gallons, and therefore I can take the reading on the trip counter and divide by 10. I also know that 54.5 litres (which it is pretty much by the time I get round to filling up ) is 12 gallons and so divide miles by 12. 300 miles = 25mpg then at 54.5 litres.

Man I was bored sitting at the petrol station (queueing) when I worked that lot out

all these slight inaccuracies i dunno trust me just divide the litres by 4.546 & that gives u how many gallons u have just bort!
Do u reckon i could get a job as an accountant? roflmao.

All above assume *imperial* gallons.

For more math convert to US gallons.

1 US gallon = 3.785 litre
1 UK gallon = 1.2011 US gallon

This should introduce some inaccuracies. The possibilities are endless
