Reversing Accident
Arrrggghhh
really pissed off a silly women reversed into me last night damaging my front wing.
Its a good job she offered to pay private, but i think once she has seen the quote from subaru her thoughts might change.
Does anyone know the cost for a new front wing and re-spray

It won't be too much. It was only a wing, Thank God!
I had a terrible one once, when I reversed into my partner's car while driving his other car! All his side panel was dented etc. But, it was his own fault to block the drive with his another car TBH. Moreover, he should never have bought a dark green, next to invisible car.
Anyhoo, I payed and displayed for the repair
Hope you get yours sorted

it could cost a lot in time (and money) to repair the wing if damaged
so be prepared for
I would got for a genuine wing, est £150.00-200 for the wing, paint and materials say £50.00, labour £100 or so
total £300-350 + vat from a good bodyshop.
Be aware - Pattern panels are often poor quality and do not fit well or without a lot of work which can end up costing as much as a decent gen panel
Repro's are often produced for the disguarded genuine moulds, once they are worn/out of tolerance, or so an old hand at a bodyshop once told me.
she may we baulk at the cost. she may well get cold feet after taking advice from a friend or relative and suddeny you may find that you hit her car or the onus be on you to prove otherwise
Poor quailty parts or repairs will damage resale values and make the car hard to sell on.

my front passenger wing was scraped last year, small dent above the wheel arch. took it to subaru, to 'pop' the dent out and then a respray - mica black. it came in at a little shy over 900€ ( £600)
but finland is expensive to say the least.
fortuantely his insurance covered it and their was no dispute.

Just asked Mr OS, and he said the new front wing (unsprayed) was from the Aylesbury Subaru dealer (used to be called 'Deer Leap', having a senior moment and can't remember what it's called now) and it cost £39. He's just been trying to find the paperwork, because we also had the price of the paint on there. He seems to think the paint was about £50.

The insurance people have told me last Thursday that i am in the clear for this accident (it was obvious) and are arranging a date for my car to have a new wing and re-spray
However on the the way to work on Friday morning a silly old **** has driven in to the side of me with out looking over his shoulder joining the road
I have had a look under the bonnet this weekend but could not find it, so could some one please tell me where the **** MAGNET is located in the engine bay

great news, i had myself a little reversing accident. seeing a lamp post in my rearview, what i didn't was a concrete block about a metre width by 60cm high, managed to reverse into it, then it tilted backwards. damage reulting in some minor scrape to the bumper (which i'm hoping will polish out) but the back box of the exhaust is not a little flatter on the underside, doesn't seem to be any holes, but it has pushed the standard twin exit pipes a little higher
not too happy. was in pristine condition

Someone did the same to my old wagon years ago and it cost ~ £650 thru' the insurance to put on a new wing and paint it to match, think there may have been a slight tweak made to the edge of the door as well but it'd probably still be roughly in that ballpark anyway.

The first prang was quoted by Bourne Bros and that came to £720, i would be pleased if the the insurance people have both prangs done at the same time since its all down the same side and would save money for them and it can be done quicker.
